This Stag’s End Cutting Board was hand crafted from American Black Walnut. Each Walnut cutting board has a deep chocolate color highlighted with black streaks and tan highlights. Black Walnut, because of its rich color, is often the most valued style of cutting board. Black Walnut also has very tight grain which makes it perfect for use with a carving knife. American walnut wood, with unique colors and textures, can add extra elegance and beauty to your kitchen. This Walnut end grain cutting board is made from American black walnut wood, with the perfect balance of hardness.  Walnut has always been the first choice for making high-end cutting boards.  Our cutting boards are gentle on your knives and won’t dull your blades. We treat each cutting board with our homemade blend of mineral oil and beeswax. Please oil regularly to avoid warping and cracking. Some of our Walnut cutting boards are fairly consistent in color while others have more contrast between the lighter and darker woods. Due to the natural variation of wood grain, your boards look and color balance will be unique. Raw wood Walnut lumber is one of the most expensive in making cutting boards. As a result, you will see that this board is a little more expensive than the other Maple or Cherry boards.
