Maple End Grain Cutting Board

Our Maple end grain cutting boards are hand crafted from American Maple sourced from eastern America.  Maple, with its beautiful natural grain pattern and rich hue is sure to be the centerpiece of any kitchen rather than hidden away in a corner somewhere.  Maple has always been a popular choice for making high-end cutting boards because of its hardness. Maple, while not as dense as Walnut, is still one of the hardest woods available for use as a cutting board.  Maple has a very tight grain which makes it perfect for use with a carving knife. We treat each cutting board with our homemade blend of mineral oil and beeswax. Please oil regularly to avoid warping and cracking.  Remember to NEVER put your wood cutting board in your dishwasher as it will ruin your cutting board. Always HAND WASH and never immerse in water. Some of our Maple cutting boards are fairly consistent in color while others have slight variation in the color of the Maple. Due to the natural variation of wood grain, your boards look and color balance will be unique.  With routine care and waxing your Maple end grain cutting board will last many, many years.
