Radiance Edge Grain Cutting Board

Thee Stag’s End “Radiance” edge grain cutting board is a combination of Maple, Padauk and Wenge wood. This unique combination of woods allow us to create a cutting board that displays bold and vibrant colors. Most people are familiar with the three American hardwoods in this board: Maple, Cherry and Walnut but few have heard of wenge and padauk. Both the Padauk and the Wenge tree are considered to be Exotic African woods and are found in West Africa. The Wenge tree is slightly over 60 foot tall and the Padauk grows to be over 120 feet tall. The Wenge wood is a deep brown with copper undertones and Padauk has a reddish tint. Most of our Radiance edge grain cutting boards are fairly consistent in color while others have more contrast between the reds and brown shades of the wood. Due to the natural variation of wood grain, your boards look and color balance will be unique. While some of the raw wood is from far away countries, all construction of your cutting board is conducted at our woodworking facility just North of Dallas, TX in the USA.
