The Purple Heart edge grain cutting board from Stag’s End is made from the highest quality exotic woods available.  This stunning board contains not only Walnut and Maple but also the more exotic Wenge, Padauk and Purple Heart.  Purple Heart is classified as an exotic hardwood harvested from the interior of Brazil and shipped to Stag’s End facilities in  in an alternating pattern. The Padauk and the Wenge tree are considered to be Exotic African woods and are found in West Africa. The Wenge tree is slightly over 60 foot tall and the Padauk grows to be over 120 feet tall. The Wenge wood is a deep brown with copper undertones and Padauk has a reddish tint.
